DDP racks up two more ISO certifications

Continuously improving our service delivery

Written by: DDP Quality Control Department

Hot on the heels of its 9001 certification, DDP Valuers has been certified for two more standards. DDP now also holds 27001:2013 for information security management systems, which focuses on cyber security; and 45001:2018 for occupational health and safety.

CEO, Tinus Geyser says, “This is a phenomenal achievement. The ISO Standards DDP has achieved this year cement DDP’s position as the leading property valuation company in South Africa. Next year DDP will have been in business for 20 years and we look forward to providing our customers with expert service.”

We’ve been driving quality management for a number of years, so these two ISO Standards were a natural progression for DDP.

Mr Monty de Beer, Managing Director of DDP Valuers (Pty) Ltd

Why cyber?

Based on recent cyber hacks, the cyber world will not get safer. It’s up to service providers to provide their customers with the assurance that they have a cyber security strategy in place and the high-level direction to drive it.

“This international certification provides a framework for continuous improvement. As threats change on the cyber front, we need to continually refine defensive measures. So this will provide DDP with a mechanism to monitor, measure, review and improve,” says Tracy Sage, DDP’s Quality Control Manager.

Health and safety

Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) should no longer be seen as a “grudge purchase” within the workplace. It should be viewed from the perspective of running a sound company where improving employee safety and reducing workplace risks are the order of the day.

ISO 45001, when implemented and managed correctly can boost employee morale, create safe workspaces, reduce accidents and incidents; as well as make employees more aware of their responsibility towards safe working conditions. DDP’s certifications, all assessed by an independent third party, give the Company and its customers the satisfaction that its policies and processes are in line with international standards.
